Despite the fierce levels of National Competition, Elite Team Wright of NJ who are also members of U.S. National Martial Arts Team ”Alliance” NJ Branch were victorious at the 2010 Atlantic City Fight For Cancer National Karate Championship. The tournament was held at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The Promoter and Director was Grand Master D.A. Giacobbe who presented Grand Master Dr. Austin Wright Sr. with a Bushido Samurai Figure in appreciation for his continuous years in supporting the Fight against Cancer. Team Wright will be honored by the “Alliance” N.J. Award and Banquet night September 20th at Puccini’s Restaurant in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Elite Team Wright brings Athletes from Bayonne, Jersey City and Irvington, NJ. The Championship brings competitors from States such as NY, NJ, NC, LV, CA, OH and PA just to name a few.
Team Wright has been receiving raving reviews, media coverage and huge press says Master Instructor Wayne Shivers, 5th Dan. After winning their second 2010 World Freedom Games and now the Nationals. Championship which was all in 2010. In fact, Head Coach of the Warriors Austin Wright has been featured in a three page spread of September’s issue of Martial Arts World Magazine due to his consistent Championship Success in the industry while celebrating his 25th year anniversary as an entrepreneur. Mr. Shiver’s states Our Team does well in competition In spite of formidable Opponents at the Nationals and International Levels because winners persevere.
